What they’re asking for
The notice defines payloads as mission-specific hardware, sensors, systems, or cargo carried by an uncrewed system. Examples listed: EO/IR cameras; LiDAR and SAR; laser designators and rangefinders; SIGINT and EW modules; voice and data relays; and modular cargo delivery. The stated idea is modular, interchangeable payloads so one platform can be reconfigured at brigade, corps, and division. See the attached statement of objectives for the rest.
