- SBIR Proposal on DSIP
What they’re asking for
SBIR.gov copy: replace aging thermally activated reserve batteries. Goals named include 20+ years storage without maintenance or large energy loss; rise to voltage on the order of 100 ms; 5+ minutes activated life; survive shock, vibration, and carriage/free-flight temperatures; pulse power at least 2.5 kW/kg average (goal >5 kW/kg) over 60 seconds; specific energy at least 40 Wh/kg (goal >100 Wh/kg). Lithium must show no venting under the cited NAVSEA test if used on ordnance.
